Do something greater Slam accelerator Pushed out of the way The cars ricochet Don’t be afraid Go out with a trade Let’s face reality Let’s chase mortality I’ll know my moment when I see it I hope I don’t hesitate and I seize it Only one of us could have stayed Make it count and go out with a trade Even though your last scene Is not fully realised Selflessness in last breath Will soon be idealised What would you take for your only possession? What would you give for most wanted self expression? Appreciate your last time Let’s not let it go to waste And be glad it was this moment That everyone embraced I’m sick of being sad People always trying to bring you down Just remember that when I’m gone With you I’ll always be up and around I’ll always be around
2.
Turn this into a story A memory of us together Rewrite the way it ended Like rain to sunny weather At the end let’s say I wore a black tie And a handgun in my belt cos I’m the bad guy And we both had tears in our eyes as we said goodbye It’s been a year past come this summer I planned to hold you in the spring It’s not because I hate you But because of the other thing You’re exactly like the ocean And no one can understand The depths of you and your feelings Like Prince Eric, we’re stuck here on land. It’s the opposite reason That I can’t finish a meal It’s the opposite reason That I sleep so I don’t have to feel It’s the opposite reason Why I sit all day and reminisce It’s the opposite reason Why I pretend that I am over this Who said it’s better to have loved Who said it’s better to have lost Because I’m not loved And I am lost I am lost
3.
Don’t write this entry full of breakup clichés Cos you and I just both got dumped within days Lets have a chat about this Pretend about the things we don’t miss Drown our sorrows and take the piss Maybe we’re both destined to be alone forever At least we’ll be alone together All I need is you and me Some of our favourite CDs And a pot brewed full of tea We could be alone together We could talk on the phone together We could have a moan together We could build a home together Who says girls and guys just can’t be mates Cos we have fun even though they’re only platonic dates You’re my best friend, even when we are apart The good advice that you’d impart We’ll make each other our fresh start Let’s make being lonely and single one of the latest trends Backup and make a pact, like Joey and Phoebe from Friends Let’s stay up way past bedtime, watch scary movies drink wine And eventually go to sleep at the end in the sunshine
4.
It’s impossible to learn everything We understand enough to get us by Being smart is knowing how stupid we are All we can do is our best and try Whether choosing which god or your favourite tracks No matter what you choose you’re fucking great You’re friends and family love you they’ll understand Mine was Jesus and Enema of the State You can never lose Whatever you choose I’ll always choose you Look inside and decide Share respect you receive What do you believe? I’ll always believe in you Look inside and decide When we were kids we had ideas forced down on us From people in power building large armies versus Each other back then we were all too young to Understand morals and values we clung to So thank you for everything that you taught me Just remember whatever I decide that you’re not me
5.
I’m not impressed with those stories you borrow You’re not depressed just cos someone said so In the end it’s completely within your own discretion So where’s the line between sadness and depression Confess your denial and get back in routine Suppress your anger and cut down on the caffeine Shake hands with bargaining, accept it won’t be mine Withstand depression and let’s make it in rhyme Understand acceptance, and undertake it in time I feel sick for the person I’ve always missed I feel sad for a place that no longer exists I still don’t think that’s quite it That’s pretty much the reason I can’t fight it Behind fake friends my subconscious hides In the most unlikely person, I try to confide Don’t let your grief define you Just find relief in that, it will refine you Stop right here, I’m refusing it Cos see this chair I’m throwing it Start to prepare and stop losing it It’s so unfair there’s no slowing it I don’t care and I’m not choosing it If I withstand depression I’ll make another rhyme If you understand acceptance tell me about it next time
6.
The first was disappointing and depressing It was let down by the ending I think that in disguise it was a blessing I need to move on stop pretending There will be a happy ending I’ll be guessing Like the countless films on weekends I’ve be spending Watching alone Lohan had nothing on you, you were so mean Its finished don’t bother to rewind I wish I could heal myself like Wolverine Like VCRs lets leave it behind Lets see what happens in the next scene When I find you I’ll finally get some peace of mind And I’d sit through a thousand previews And I’d wait 10 years in long queues Would I finally get to meet you? Cos you are the sequel Freeze me in some carbon, and kick Darth Vadars arse when he strikes back Travel into the future, and stop Biff from stealing my almanac Escape from Berlin with dad outwitting Hitler’s Nazis with my whip Destroy death at twister, and even sink his battleship Fight terrorists out of airports, and keep my wife’s name as McClane Be challenged again on TV, and fight Apollo Creed again Get paranoid with androids, but work together to kill the queen Dig out my NES advantage, kick ass with lady libertine

Calling all school friends let’s reunite Invite the neighbours to be polite The address is 32 Leyland Road Check the event page for the postcode It’s a public event with me and Goldy as hosts So invite all your pals and like all our posts Accept the add and comment on the page Delete us off your friends list if you’re under age Forget about paper invites we never sent Let’s make a Facebook event And let today’s youth instruct us Embrace the latest social construct and discuss Look at the fucking nick of this place Check the Facebook pictures and let’s retrace Our steps just make your profile private We’re close to eviction so help us survive it With the sick on the door And the Beave on the floor I‘m already regretting Is that phone call from Clyde Letting? Let’s prepare our defence against our neighbours Facebook evidence I preferred my youth embracing my inner geek Where my game boy was my technological peak Get me away from my ex’s page and we’ll Go out, do something fun and find something real I don’t care about you, or if your status is updated We’re disconnected more than ever so consider my account deactivated

Life's Limbo 03:20
You fell so far apart Never in the same room Maybe she’ll help him Toast to the bride and groom Known each other forever Please don’t be nervous Smiles through the tears Across pews at my service This life is like two separate dreams And none of them are mine I’m stuck in life’s limbo With love on each side And I’m on the line Remember when you’re both young and happy I’ve only seen it in my head Dig out some old photographs Or watch Mrs Doubtfire instead In the end it was never meant You’re the Jor-el to my Jonathan Kent The four of us were fucked up teens Due to love we were in-between
9.
Instead of growing up we were growing out Fitting in is not exactly what your life should be about People will find you when you start doing The things that you love so stop pursuing Different people and their styles and their lines We’re all squares and circles at too many different times Force yourself into that void, maybe you will fit Would you rather be misunderstood or a hypocrite? We are squares into circles of friends that laugh at our Shape Always searching for our die, so we can escape You’ve only seen one side, don’t call us conventional It turns out it’s you, who’s so 2-dimensional Growing up we were meeting new faces We both belong in different places One day it will hit you out of the blue It’s each other that we outgrew You are a circle I’ll always be a square Two different shapes but we’ll always be a pair The lines we walk either curved or straight You’ll always be one of my best mates

Nintenuendo 03:58
Start the game and watch the house of the dead tango Look past the disguise The creepers just dancing their grim fandango They’re caked in a lie The person that you need is incognito Be honest, realise Where in the world is my Carmen Sandiego It’s not spy versus spy Press Up, press Up, and never let-up, push Down push Down to stand your ground Move Left and Right, stay in the fight, last of us Left to do what’s Right Be one who stands for those who need, A champion surely must succeed Don’t cheat the game, an honest friend Start to push through, with your Player Two, and continue to the end Don’t let yourself decay Be the best guy Brush sadness away Refuse to die Recreate yourself today Link to my past Your shy guy fades away Songs read like dreams cast You must take control Must choose wisely Journey to your goal A rare candy Be there to console Best ever known Life’s pitfalls take their toll It’s dangerous to go alone Up up up up down down down down Left left left left right right right right Up up up up down down down down Left left left left right right right right Up up down down left right left right Up up down down left right left right Up down left right up down left right Be A Start for those who, do not play her too, and continue to the end

The country we grew up in, something set us apart Nothing truly inspired us; overseas they had the best art No pals, just morals Don’t belong, but got songs Too busy trying to fit in like a circle in a square Not realising amongst the chaos you’re almost there Don’t worry, there’s no hurry You’ll get there All my old friends spent summers running away This year let’s have you all round here to stay So stick around and enjoy the sun for the 1 or 2 days It wouldn’t be ours if it wasn’t grey Scattered friends I grew up with now I never see We’ll find time to catch up, here wherever be No more mobile phones or gmail.coms Cos the only place left to go is where you’re from Be proud of each other, and celebrate your contrast Cos Scotland vs. England, is a thing of the past Whether from down south or across the pond We’re the same we share a bond Let me know when you’ve left and are on the way I can’t wait to have you all round here to stay So stick around and enjoy the sun for the 1 or 2 days It wouldn’t be ours if it wasn’t grey It’s not that house that’s your idea of home Shrinking memories of childhood in cornerstones Bricks and cement I can no longer chase For your new home you’ll always have affection But there’s nowhere else you’ll find that connection It’s the love we make that creates this place Think home.

I’m not back on but at least I can see the track The past 4 years were necessary and causative Trying hard to see the good in hard times Don’t force negatives into positives It was never just about the music we create But the people in time the four best of mates It wasn’t just the house where we used to stay I could see all I loved every single day Shake your body, awake your senses Fake confidence, break defences Stake your demons, mistake your wife Take what is yours and remake your life Have you forgot I need to live my life too I just can’t, can’t seem to forgive you Why show compassion if you don’t deserve it Unfair judgement I’ve tried to reserve it Its not you but these words I actually crave One day we’ll laugh I can’t take this to my grave For many years this conflict I’ve carried Mum says my closure must be you got married
